Do your childrens doodles really tell you something?
Children's drawings are visual representations made with crayons,
markers, or pencils that are generated for pleasure but can also be used
for therapeutic purposes or developmental assessment
My eldest son who is 6 lately has a crayon on paper all of his waking moments, he really has found pleasure in simple art, his drawings vary from animals to places, a lot of volcanoes and characters from cartoons. after looking at a few drawings i decided im never going to throw these out! there must be more than a 100 pages front and back covered in his adorable doodles. But do they mean something? is there a message inside of his drawings that can tell me more about him?
Art therapy has become popular and is gradually gaining a formal
recognition in Singapore in recent years. Counselors, therapists and
psychologists are beginning to employ drawings done by children to
understand their subconscious mind at work.
Im still searching for the meanings if any, but meantime take a look at some of his creations!
Clearly a volcano spewing out orange lava by the load! however no smoke or destruction going on pretty calm sunny skies too! im pretty sure this is just a clear expression of an interest in volcano's!
Joshua told me this one is handy many! one of his favorite shows on tv. recently we got them all the tools so his interest has being an interactive role playing game.
The other day we saw palm trees on our trip to the beach, and ever since he was intrigued.
a picture of a girl with brown hair and yellow eyes, i read somewhere that a drawing without pupils is a course for concern so shall look more into this one
